National SPRING & SUMMER SHOWS

We look forward to welcoming you to the 2026 National Spring Show at Kelsall Equestrian Centre, Tarporley, Cheshire on Saturday 21st March 2026.  The show will include in-hand classes for pedigree Shire horses.  

A National Summer Show will be held and the date and venue announced in due course.

The National Spring and Summer Shows give enthusiasts of the breed to support the work of the Shire Horse Society and find out more about Shire horses and see them shown in style; in-hand, ridden and turnouts.

The prestigious King George V cup will be awarded to the champion stallion on Saturday 21st March 2026 and a host of other trophies will be handed out the day.

This National Spring Show is an indoor event and the National Summer Show an outdoor event and includes:

• National Championships 
• Trade stands
• In-hand Classes
• Turnout Classes (National Summer Show only)
• Ridden Shire Horse Classes (National Summer Show only)
• Farriery Display (to be confirmed)
• Grand Parade 
• VIP Dining (to be confirmed)
