National SPRING & SUMMER SHOWS
The National Spring Show at Kelsall Hill Equestrian Centre, Tarporley, Cheshire, CW6 0SR was held on Saturday 21st March 2026. This show included in-hand classes for pedigree Shire horses with champions crowned and added to the history books.
Our next event is the National Summer Show which will be held at the Society's headquarters at Rockingham Castle on the Northamptonshire/Rutland border (LE16 8TH) on Thursday 27th August 2026. The show will include classes for turnouts, harness, agricultural implements, in-hand and ridden exhibitors. The final of the Summer Supreme Brood Mare Championship will also take place on this day.

The National Spring and Summer Shows give enthusiasts of the breed to support the work of the Shire Horse Society and find out more about Shire horses and see them shown in style.
The prestigious King George V cup was awarded to the champion stallion on Saturday 21st March 2026 along with a host of other trophies handed out to the winners.

This National Spring Show is an indoor event and the National Summer Show an outdoor event and includes:
