Congratulations to Mr Bryan Banham from Norfolk for winning the Shire Horse of the Year Show with his horse, Acle Carousel. Bred by Mr Banham, this superb three-year-old is by Catwg Welsh Challanger out of Acle Hello Topsy.

The Shire breed was well placed in the British Ridden Heavy Horse Championship with Mrs Lindy Winship's Shire horse, Westfield Calendar Girl (rider Emma Green) winning this title. Westfield Calendar Girl was bred by Mr Paul Clayton and is by Bickers Court William out of Westfield Clover Girl.

The Society send its congratulations to not only the winners but to all those who qualified for HOYS. Your horses looked fantastic.
