We are deeply sorry to announce that, given the briefing by the PM late last night, the National Show is cancelled.
The decision to cancel the Show is not taken lightly and we are extremely disappointed, but, in the light of the announcement, we have no choice. Avoiding the spread of a new variant of the virus is of paramount concern. The Society takes the safety of its members, stakeholders and volunteers very seriously and we do not want to expose any of the many people who are involved in the Show to unnecessary risk.
Our first priority in the coming days is to cancel the arrangements that had been put in place for the Show. This will be an exceptionally busy time for the office. We will consider the consequences of cancellation in the coming days and weeks. Please bear with us as we will not be able straight away to answer the questions that members are bound to have. We will post more information when we can.
