Approved Centre, Blists Hill Victorian Town (Ironbridge Gorge) is holding their popular 'heavy horse weekend' on 14th and 15th May.
Hear the sound of hooves ringing out from their cobbled streets! Resident Shire horses, George, Casey and Bernie, will be joined by several other heavy horses who will demonstrate the work of horses in industrial times.
Enjoy watching these powerful horses pulling trade vehicles and wearing a variety of harnesses, including those used for shunting on the railways and pulling barges on the canals.
Unfortunately, only assistance dogs will be permitted to enter Blists Hill on this weekend.
